Mr. G. Nelson, chief postmaster at Wanganui, resumed duties yesterday after his annual vacation.
Mr R. Sheen, who has been acting chief postmaster at Wanganui for the past three weeks, left for Gisborne yesterday.
Mr W. J. Greig, recently stationmaster at Picton, has taken up his duties as railway goods agent at Auckland.
Mr W. F. O’Shaughnessy, of the Wanganui train-running staff, left on Monday for Wellington, where he has been transferred on promotion.
Mr R. R. Hunter, of Invercargill, will succeed Mr C. N. Haslam as senior inspector of schools in Taranaki at the end of February. Mr Haslam will retire on superannuation.
Mr C. Greager, of the staff of the Y.M.C.A., Wanganui, has accepted a position as assistant-secretary at the Masterton Y.M.C.A. and leaves on Sunday to take up his new duties.
Colonel R. Miles, until lately officer commanding the Northern Command, left Auckland by the Awatea on Saturday for Sydney, en route to England, where he is to enter the Imperial Defence College.
