Mrs. S. McCallum, Wanganui, has been visiting Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. J. Hussey were Wanganui visitors to Wellington this week. Miss F. Montgomery Moore, Victoria Avenue, left yesterday on a visit to Wellington. Mrs. Duncan Simpson, Marton, visited Wellington for the executive meeting of the National Party held this week. Mrs. Ralph Brown was a Wanganui visitor to Wellington this week. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Hunter, Makirikiri, are spending a holiday at Tokaanu. • • • « Miss A. M. Rees and Miss Phyllis Rees, Wellington, are spending a holiday in Wanganui. Miss Clare Longmore, who has been spending a holiday at Hawera, is visiting Wanganui before returning to Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. S. L. Parsons left this morning, by motor, for Hamilton and Auckland to attend the races. Mr. and Mrs. W. Rennie were Wanganui visitors to Auckland early in the week. Dr. Mollie Christie visited Palmerston North on Monday to address a gathering of young women at the Y.W.C.A. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Hodge, of Wellington, and formerly of Wanganui, have left for Auckland, to which city Mr. Hodge has been transferred. Mr. and Mrs. L. Walker, Kiwitea, Feilding, who have been spending a holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Alan Walker, Makirikiri, have returned home. Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Arbon, Pohangina, who spent a few days in UVanganui early in the week as the guests of Mrs. H. V. Hammond, have returned home. Miss Ethel Meads, of Westmere, is a Patea delegate to the executive meeting of the National Party being held in Wellington this week. Mr. Duckworth is also a Patea delegate visiting Wellington to attend the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. G. W. D. Mulgan (late of Auckland) are about to revisit New Zealand, accompanied by their younger son, Mr. Anthony Mulgan. It is 21 years since Mr. Mulgan was last in the Dominion. Outward passages have been booked by the Remuera, leaving on December 16, and after a stay of about six weeks the return journey will be made by the Strathmore, due in England on April 29. Their eldest son, Mr. | Denis Mulgan, has come down from ! Oxford with his B.A. and Mus.Bac. I degrees, and t heir daughter, Miss ' Julia Mulgan, goes up to Lady MarIgaret Hall, Oxford, next year.
