WORK FOR FIREMEN
AN ENTERPRISING CHIEF Received Nov. 16, 11.5 p.m. SAN JUAN, Nov. 15. Andrco Montanez, chief of the fire brigade at Humacao, was charged with setting fire to houses in order to provide work for the brigade, who are paid in accordance with the number of alarms. A series of fires after a long period without them aroused the suspicion of the police. They allege that they daught Montanez’s accomplice, who confessed.
