WANGANUI CLUB OPEN HANDICAP RACE MARIiS FOR TO-MORROW EVENING. A special three-mile open handicap race for members of the Wanganui Harrier Club is to be held on the Racecourse to-morrow evening in conjunction with the show. The event is to start at 7 p.m. and members are asked to be in attendance at 6.45 to strip at the ground. Three hanosome trophies have been donated by the A. and P. Association. Members are reminded that admission on the night of the event is 6d. Any runners who have not been handicapped but who wish to start, are advised to communicate with the handicapper, Mr. E. Gowan before noon tomorrow. Following are handicaps;— C. Weller, G. Bills (scr.). K. Johnston, 20sec. C. Cox, H. Hopper, 35sec. G. Johnston, A. Penberthv, 45sec H. Clark, J. Carr, S. Willeits, 55sea. G. Hallam, 1.30. T. Broks. R, Gilbertson, 2min. R. O'Donnell, 2.05. R. Orr, 2.10. N. Grant, 2.20. A. Clark, H. Walker, 2.30. B. Adams, 2.45. J. Reid, 2.55. R. Corps, 3.30. It is antifiicated that C. D. Weller New Zealand Harrier champion will be a competitor and a close contest should ensue between he and G Bills three-mile West Coast champion.
