CHAMPION OF CHAMPIONS AUCKLAND EVENT. [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, Nov. 7. W. J. Davidgo, of Glendowie, won the Auckland champion of champions golf tourney. HAWERA WOMEN’S TITLE SIRS G. HOLLIS CHAMPION MISS ROBERTSON BEATEN With both players below their usual form, the final of the Hawera Women's Golf Club championship was played on the Fairfield links, Hawera, over the week-end. when Mrs G. Hollis beat Miss C. G. Robertson 4 and 3. The putting and approach shots ol Mrs Hollis were far below her usual standard and, although she was the winner, it was not until the fifteenth hole was concluded that the decision was certain. At the turn, Mrs Hollis was 2 up. The tenth and eleventh were halved and Mrs Hollis won the twelfth. The thirteenth was halved and Mrs Hollis won the fourteenth. Mrs Hollis was dormy four when approaching the fifteenth and halved the hole, the gamifinishing with Mrs Hollis the winner by f and 3.
