ISLAND PRINCE GAOLED. Received Nov. 7, 5.5 p.m. HONOLULU, Nov. 5. Prince David Kawananakoa, who was arrested after the finding of the body of the beautiful half-breed girl Arvila Kinslea, aged 21, in her apartment, was sentenced to 10 years’ imprisonment on a charge of violating his probation following a conviction for manslaughter arising out of an automobile accident in 1932. The Judge said that by his association with Miss Kinslea he had failed to comply with the conditions of his probation Miss Kinslea’s throat had been cut and there were signs of a struggle. The prince admitted that he was present at a drinking party with the victim and her sister Rose. He insisted that he was unable to recall events before midnight, when he summoned an ambulance . The girl died shortly after the arrival of surgeons. The police said that the wound apparently was inflicted with a broken glass or plate. John Hollinger, a member of the party, said that the prince suddenly emerged from the kitchen carrying the dying girl and did not make an explanation.
