The above report was received on Friday by the Meat Board,, which advises that the following are the ruling prices of wholesale quantities ot the descriptions of frozen meat mentioned, and are for representative parcels of the goods sold on Thursday. Chilled beef prices are averages ot the week. The market is quiet, says a message received by Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd., from their London agents. Compared with last week's quotations, Down lamb and crossbred lamb, l-8d per lb. higher; ewes, 641 b. to 721 b., l-8d per Im. lower. Others unchanged. Henry S. Fitter and Sons, Ltd., have received the following report from their London office:—Lambs: The reduction in prices has improved the demand. Ewes: There Is a better inquiry for these in the market. Chilled bed: The market is steady. Pork: The market is quiet and unchanged. Trade generally is slow.
