“JAY WALKERS” IN COURT

ORDERED TO PAY COSTS. [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Nov. 4. For failing to cross a roadway at right angles to the kerb, 21 "jay walkers” were convicted and ordered to pay costs. The magistrate, Mr. Luxford, said that it had been his task to deal with a number of Wellington citizens previously for this offence, but owing to the newness of the regulations no penalty was inflicted.
