FEDERATION’S TERMS TO C. 1.0. Received Oct. 23, 5.15 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 27. At the conference of the Council for Industrial Organisation and the American Federation of Labour, the federation submitted counter-pro-posal demanding the immediate dissolution of the C. 1.0. in order to establish “one united and solidified Labour movement in America.” The reconciliation terms of the Committee for Industrial Organisation were organisation of mass production, the marine and public utility services, and the basic fabricating industries on an industrial union basis, and that the Committee for Industrial Organisation, with all its present affiliates should join the American Federation of Labour as an independent depart* ment, retaining its present name. PROPOSALS REJECTED “ABJECT SURRENDER” Received Oct. 28, 9.50 p.m. NEW YORK, Oct. 27. The Committee of Industrial Or* ganisation rejected all the proposal! as abject surrender and the conference adjourned till November 4. The C. 1.0. spokesman declared that he did not consider it a permanent disagreement but the American Federation of Labour issued a statement describing the C. 1.0. attitude as serious: ly jeopardising the possibility of sue cess.
