f CHRISTCHURCH BOUT WOODS AND NOLAND CONTEST ENDS IN DRAW [ Per Press Association. ] CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 27. Joe Woods (15.8) and Don Noland (16.10) drew, one fall each, in a thrilling bout, described as the semifinal in the New Zealand elimination contest for the world title contest. Woods took a fall in the first minute of the first round when he easily pinned Noland after knocking him to the canvas with three elbow jolts. Noland was awarded a penalty fall in the seventh round. Woods had tied him up in the ropes so that he had to be extricated by the referee and a second, and Woods was ordered to his corner by the police for bouncing the ropes.
