RADIO FOR FIRE BRIGADE
INTERESTING CAPETOWN INNOVATION CAPETOWN (By Mail). The Capetown Fire Brigade is shortly to be equipped with radio. The present system of keeping touch between fire engines and headquarters by telephone has often caused unnecessary delays in calling for reinforcements to serious fires, and after a long series of experiments the brigade experts have decided on a type of set which will enable their service vans to maintain perfect two-way wireless contact with headquarters.
