RANGITIKEI LADIES’ GOLF CLUB Following is the draw for L.G.U. medal rounds, to be played at Bulls to-morrow (Thursday), October 28:— Silver. —Miss M. Amon v. Miss C. Wilson; Miss N. Wilson v. Mrs Drew; Miss K. Amon v. Mrs McKenzie. OBITUARY The funeral of the late Hakeke Hunia was largely attended on Saturday, interment taking place at the Maori cemetery, Parewanui. He was Ihe eldest son of the late Warena Hunia, and a member of the Ngatiapu tribe. His wife predeceased him, and in addition to two married daughter?, he leaves a sister (Mrs Paramena, ot Clive), and three brothers, Messrs M. land R. Hunia, of Parewanui, and Hunia, of Rangiotu, to mourn his loss. The late Mr Hunia was engaged n< farming for some years, but his health gave way, and after spending nearly two years at Ratana, he entered" Wanganui Hospital. His bright and cheery disposition made him a general favourite, and both Maoris and pakehas regret his passing. Tho officiating clergyman was from Ratana, and the pall-bearers at the cemetery were Messrs M. I luma, P. Marumaru, T. Rogers, W. Warbrick, M. Governor and W. Apirana. Among a large number of floral tributes there were wreaths from Mrs P. and Miss ,W. Hunia (Wanganui), Mr and Mrs AV. Homes and family (Parewanui), Mr Tahunui Arangi, Mr and Mrs P. Richardson and family, Mr and Mrs Governor and family, and many others. RIFLE SHOOTING rffTOoting in fine weather on Saturday, members of the Rangitikei Defence Rifle Club registered fine scores.
