TOUR OF YORKSHIRE CROWDS AT HULL AND YORK [ British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, Oct. 19. Their Majesties, beginning their tour of Yorkshire, arrived at Hull where they received a great welcome After lunching at the Guildhall they left for York, where they were met by the Princess Royal and Lord Harewood, who is Lord Lieutenant of the West Riding. A large crowd gave Their Majesties an enthusiastic welcome. After a visit to a factory where they saw the different processes in the manufacture of chocolates, Their Majesties had tea with the Lora Mayor at the Mansion House where they are staying to-night. Other Koya! Visits Two other Royal visits began today. The streets of Devonport were lined with cheering people when the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester arrived, after a tour of Cornwall and Devon, in time for a luncheon at Admiralty House given by the Com-mnder-in-Chief. Afterwards the Duchess launched the 5300-ton cruiser Gloucester. The Duchess will later open the extension to the maternity and nurses’ homes. To-morrow the Duke will lay the foundation stone of the library block at University College, Exeter.
The Duke and Duchess of Kent began a two-days’ tour of South Wales by visiting Carmathen. The Duke laid the foundation stone for extensions to Trinity College and the Duchess opened the new wing, comprising the maternity and general wards at the county infirmary. They later reached Swansea, where the Duke was installed as Chancellor of the Univer-' sity of Wales. The Duke will proceed on Thursday to Blackpool, where he names the new motor lifeboat of the National Lifeboat Institution, of which he is president
