VALUABLE ESTATE

WINDFALL FOR AUSTRALIAN CHARITIES Received Oct. 13, 9.5 p.m. SYDNEY, Oct. 13. A giant windfall for charities is announced as a result of the death of Dame Eadith Walker. At least £750,000 will be available for distribution to Australian charitable institutions under the will of her father, who died in 1886. Dame Eadith was the only child and life tenant on her father’s huge estate which, at the time of probats was worth £938,000 but to-day, with the appreciation of properties, it might easily be worth £2,000,000.
