ANZAC PARADE ASSAULT

SEARCH BECOMING MORE DEFINITE TWO YOUNG MEN MAY BE ABLE TO HELP Enquiries into the assault on Mrs. Una Thompson, which occurred on Anzac Parade on the morning of Sunday, October 3, took a more definite turn yesterday. The police are anxious to get into touch with two young men who crossed the Dublin Street bridge, coming from Wanganui East, about midnight on Saturday, October 2. It will be recollected that Airs. Thompson, who was later assaulted on Anzac Parade, crossed the bridge about that time. She was carrying a white canvas golf bag containing golf clubs, was wearing grey slacks, a dark leather overcoat, white canvas shoes, but no hat.

Mrs. Thompson’s condition was greatly improved yesterday.
