RECORD SHIPMENTS OF LAMB TWELVE MONTHS’ EXPORTS I Shipments of lamb from New Zealand during the twelve months endea September 3 were a record at 9,187,- ; 369 carcases, an increase of 447,489 carcases over the 1935-36 season. Exports of mutton totalled 1,800,570 carcases, a decrease of 69,650 carcases. Shipments of chilled beef in- i creased by 56,936 quarters to a total . of 201,105 quarters, but shipments of ' frozen beef at 188,128 quarters, showed a decrease of 17,140 quarters. - Pork shipments totalled 667,104 carcases, a decrease of 2340 carcases. Returns issued by the Meat Board give the following details of frozen meat shipments for the 1936-37 sea- j son as follow, the totals for 1935-3 n being shown for comparative purposes:—

Shipments of boned beef for the last 12 months totalled 299fi413 , bags, an increase of 63,908 bags. Killings of lamb for export were a record at 9,183,263 carcases, an increase of 394,189 carcases. Killings of mutton for the twelve months i totalled 1,76,575 carcases, a decrease of 104,152 carcases.
