VIOLINIST HAUBERMANN

SUFFERING FROM PNEUMONIA. SEQUEL TO AIRLINER'S CRASH. PALEMBANG, Oct. 11. The violinist Bronislaw Hubermann is suffering from pneumonia. A Bavarian doctor is attending to his injuries. SLIGHTLY IMPROVED. PALEMBANG, Oct. 11. Hubermann was slightly improved this afternoon. The doctor says Hubermann will be in danger until the pneumonia has subsided. He contracted pneumonia owing to a chill when awaiting help in Loavy rain after the crash.

It was cabled from Singapore on October 6 that a Dutch airliner had crashed. Four of the occupants were killed and one passenger slightly injured. The otl ers, including the violinist, Bronislaw Hubermann, were unhurt. A later message stated that Hubermann received slight injuries to his arms and hands. Although not serious in themselves, the injuries were causing anxiety in case they affected his violin-playing.
