BETTER THAN EVER

BRITISH BOTTLED BEER DUNEDIN WINS A PRIZE LONDON, Oct. 11. That the beer is better than ever it has been was the conclusion of the judges at the bottled beer competitions in London, in which Empire beers were entered for the first time. The Dunedin brewery, New Zealand, won one of the two Empire contests. The judges praised the fine quality of the overseas brews, but declared that it was impossible to compare British and overseas beers, as the latter were mostly of the lager type.

It was announced the Britain drinks 300,000,000 gallons of bottled beer a year plus a larger quantity from the cask.
