FROZEN MEAT MARKET
The Bank of New Zealand, produce department, has received the following advice from its London office as at close of business last week:—The market for wethers is rather easier. The market for ewes is quiet and unchanged. The market for lambs is dull. Smaller supplies of chilled beef have caused prices to harden. Trade, generally, is slow. Wethers, light, 4 7-8 d to 6d per lb.; heavy 4id to ewes, 3d to 4 l-8d; lambs, 2’s, 73d to 7 7-8 d; B’s, 7 5-Bd. to 7?d; 4’s, 7d to 7 l-8d; seconds, 7id to 7id; chilled hinds sid to 6d; fores, 31d to 32d.
