SCEPTICAL WINNER EMPLOYED AS DRIVER GOING TO “CARRY ON.” [ Per Press Association. ] WELLINGTON, Oct. 11. “Oh, yeah!” said William J. Robb, 14 Veronica Street, Brooklyn, Wellington, winner of the first prize in the “Sporting Luck” Art Union, drawn at Wellington to-night, when informed of his good fortune. Sceptical though he was for all his 24 years, he was soon forced to acknowledge his luck when more of his friends called on him and told him the news. Robb is employed by the Labour Department as a driver and has held his position for the past six months. It was purely by chance that he bought the ticket in the art union, though he could give no reason for doing so other than saying he thought he would “give it a shut.” He said to-night he had not participated in any art union for about the last two months. “I don’t seem to have woken up yet,” he said. “When I do I’ll prob-'

ably know what I'm going to do with the money. Anyway, I'm going to carry on just the same as I’m doing now.”
