London Lamb Market Weaker CHILLED BEEF EASIER Lamb market: Tone of market slightly easier owing to seasonal heavier supplies of home-killed. Mutton market: Wethers steady end unchanged. Ewes, heavyweights slightly easier. Beef market: Frozen beef firm, with good trade. Chilled beet slightly easier this week owing to muggy weather. New Zealand porker pigs: Market quiet owing to unsuitable weather. New Zealand baconer pigs: Shade firmer owing to short spot stocks.

The above report was received yesterday by the Meat Board,' which advises that the following represent prices realised on Thursday, October 7, based on actual transactions of wholesale quantities ot the descriptions of meat mentioned and for representative parcels of the goods offering that day, being for business done on the basis of delivered to Smithfield market, and/or ex London stores: In the case of chilled beef the prices represent approximate average prices realised for th week.
