HITHER AND THITHER
Grand Opening Dance. Under the auspices of the Wanganui East Labour Party, to-night is to be the opening of their Friday night dances. Dancing from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. The music is to be supplied by Ted O 1 liver’s Piano-Accordion Band. Remember the 40-hour week. With streamers, Monte Carlos, novelties, etc., patrons are assured of a firstclass evening’s entertainment. Druids’ Hall Dance The weekly dance held in the Druids’ Hall was last Saturday well patronised. The special feature of the evening was the exhilarating music played by the orchestra, which was greatly appreciated by the large number of dancers. The Monte Carlo win- ! ners were: (1) Miss Grieve and My Murray; <2) Miss J. Volske and Mr Jones; (3) Miss J. O'Mahoney and Mr Dunkerton; (4) Miss Smith and Mr Lewis; (5) Mrs Clarke and Mr Johnson.
