MAGISTRATE’S COURT

YESTERDAY’S SITTING The following cases were heard in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday by Mr J. H. Salmon, S.M.: — John Frederick Broad, who passed a stationary tram in the Avenue, was fined 12, with costs 15s, witness 4s. Colin Merrington, for cycling without a light at night, was fined fl, with costs 10s. Ronald Arthur Vincent was charged with driving without a licence for himself and motor-cycle. On the first charge he was fined 10s, with costs, and on the second 30s, with costs. Ada B. F. Parkes, who exceeded the maximum load with a lorry, was fined f2, with costs 10s. John Mackie, for allowing a cow to wander, was fined 10s, with costs 10s. For a similar offence Lorena Ross was ordered to pay costs 10s. John Thomson, who omitted to register two dogs, was ordered to pay costs 10s.
