EXPERIMENTAL FARM

RE-LSTADLISHMENT SOUGHT GORE'S REQUEST TO MINISTER 1 Ter Press Association. J DUNEDIN, June 9. The re-establishment of an experiment! farm at Gore, abandoned during the slump, was sought by a farmers’ deputation to the Hon. Lee Martin to-day. He was asked for the re-establishment of the farm to deal with problems of pests and diseases affecting the eastern district of Southland. The Minister, in the course of a sympathetic reply, said that the department would be asking for an augmented vote and he hoped to find the necessary finance. He thought the farm should be devoted almost entirely to research and experimental work.
