“LOI’TY” BLCMEIELD WINS WELLINGTON CONTEST [ Ter Press Association. 1 WELLINGTON, June 7. “Lofty” Blomfielii beat Sammy Stein by r. single fall in a professional bout to-night. The match was very even and indeed in the later stages Stein had the advantage, showing himself a quick and versatile wrestler with an active brain and a wide repertoire of holds. Blomfield, however, took the sole fall by dumping and pinning Stein in the fifth round. A big crowd watched the contest, which was fast and hearty and characterised by a good deal of elbowjolting and by frequent controversy between Blomfield and the referee. MATCH AT AUCKLAND MTN FOR “KING KONG” COX [ Per Frew, A’woci'tJon. I AUCKLAND, June 7. The professional wrestling match between “King Kong” Cox and JohnSpellman resulted in a win for Cox by one fall. This was obtained in the sixth round after Spellman had been picked up twice and slammed, his shoulders being easily pinned with a body press on the second occasion.
