TWO NEW COASTAL SHIPS

UNION COMPANY’S ORDERS CRAFT BEING BUILT IN BRITAIN (Per Press Association!. WELLINGTON, June 3. The Union Steam Ship Company announces that orders have been placea in the United Kingdom for two new cargo vessels, one a coal-burning collier, of 3250 tons cargo (dead-weight) and the other a motor vessel of about 2000 tons. The names selected are the Korowai and Karitane. Both ships are intended for the New Zealand coastal trade.
