BRITAIN TO SOUTH AFRICA SUCCESSFUL INAUGURATION Received June 3, 6.5 p.m. LONDON, June 2. Imperial Airways’ new flying boat service between England and South Africa was inaugurated to-day from Southampton by the Canopus, which carried passengers and about a ton of mail. Flying boats will operate with Durban as a terminus and cover 8000 miles in 6i days. In future they will leave Southampton twice weekly.
