SAILING VESSEL SUNK

TORPEDOED BY SUBMARINE ONE KILLED, TWO INJURED SURVIVORS REACH SHORE Received June 4, 1 a.m. LONDON, June 3. A submarine, allegedly Italian, attacked and sank the Spanish sailing ship Granada, en route to Alicante with cement, when off Cambrils on the Catalonian coast. One of the crew of eight was killed and two injured. Survivors took to the boats and reached snore. They state that the submarine fired torpedoes and guns without warning. A Berlin message says that the Admiralty has despatched two destroyers, the Tiger and litis, to reinforce the German fleet in Spanish waters.
