WAVERLEY STATISTICS INCREASES IN BIRTHS AND MARRIAGES V??l statistics at Waverley for May reveal an increase in births and marriages, compared with figures for the corresponding month last year. The figures, with those of May, 1936, in parentheses, are; Births 3 (1), marriages 1 (0); deaths 1 (2). SUCCESSFUL DANCE AT WAVERLEY The Waverley Young Farmers’ Club held a most sucuesslul dance in the supper room of the Town Hall on Wednesday evening. There was an excellent attendance and the box oi i .Hjeolaues rafiie was won by Mr ... Yowell, Miss Vvybourne and Mr W. Andrews winning the lucky spot waltz. Music was supplied by Messrs Gilman and Carey, Mr Gilford supplying the extras. Tne sapper arrangements were in the hanas of Miss M. Dickie, B. Christie and N. Lupton, members of the Young Farmers’ Club, were in charge of the hall arrangements.
