PILOT’S RESIGNATION
INCORRECT SUGGESTION In our issue of April 6 we publish* ed a Press Association message from Sydney suggesting that Mr H. F. Broadbent had resigned from air-line piloting because he was required to get through despite the weather. We are now informed that Mr Broadbent did not give the dangers of air-line piloting or that he was required to get through despite the weather as the reason for his resignation, but that it was solely due to his desire to fly solo to England in an attempt on the existing record that he resigned. Accordingly we wish to apologise to Mr Broadbent for the erroneous impression the article created.
