INVITATION RUN PALMERSTON CLUB’S VISIT An invitation run from the rest, dence of Mr. B. Kench, one ot th. club's keenest supporters, was held at Castlecllff on Saturday afternoon by members of the Wanganui Harrier Club. About 12 members of the Palmerston North Y.M.C.A. Harrier Club, including C. Weller, attended the run. A field of 50 competitors was dispatched over a course which included a lot of heavy going through sand. The run was held undei the whistle of the club captain and a run-in was held from the wreck ol the Cyrena along th? beach to Mr. Kench’s residence in Seafront Road. At the conclusion of the run the competitors were entertained at afternoon tea. The runners' appreciation cf their hosts' hospitality was expressed by Mr. H. K. Johnston, president of the club.
