r/JAPaiIU FEDIXAT'.ON MEETING OF EXECUTIVE A meeting of the executive of the Ruapehu Federation of Women’s Institutes was held recently in the i Presbyterian Hall, Taihape. Mrs Dellow, who presided, welcomed the new committe. Others present were Mesdames Gill, Sinnett, Carmine, Bartlett, Murdoch, Pairman, Speedy, and the voluntary organiser, Mrs Millen. An apology was received from Mrs Sandford, Raetihi. It was decided to hold a school for officers and voluntary organisers on July 8 and 9, and the committee hope that a goodly number of institute members will take this opportunity to further their knowledge of the working of their organisation. The date of the drama festival was fixed for July 28, in Taihape, and August 31, in Ohakune. Entries are to h in the hands of the secretary by June 26. Mesdames Dellow and Millen were chosen to go to Wellington to attend the round-table conference in June, as delegates representing the Ruapehu Federation. The next half-yearly meeting is to be held in Mangaweka on October 19. The secretary was asked to write to the former members of the committee expresing the appreciation of their help during the past year.
