BULBS

Nearly all the bulbs which were potted some time ago will now be ready to be taken out of the ashes or other plunging material and put into cold frames. Keep the frames close and shaded for a week or ten days to gradually inure the growth to the different conditions, after which give an abundance of light and air. The growth will then becom strong and not so liable to be injured by hard weather. Early-flowering gladioli that were potted some time ago are well up, and particular attention must be paid to these to ensure that they do not get frozen, otherwise they will be spoilt.
