“Only A Bunch Of Flowers.”

(Dedicated to my Dear Friend) Only a bunch of Howers, Beautified by the Artist Devine Brought peace and comfort to this aching heart of mine. As a breath of heaven was their perfume sweet, It was a gill of beauty for the Master’s use made meet. God bless the gentle donor for her gift of sympathy and love I pray the Father’s richest blessing will discent upon her from above, May she long be apared to minister to hearts with love and warmth grown cold, For thou O Lord with loving eyes the little deeds behold. —By “5.8. G. Palmerston North.

“WIND” SENDS THANKS TO “LAUGHING WATERLADY”

Dear Wendy,—l just wish to say thank you to our “Laughing Waterlady for her kind remarks. I really do appreciate it, as it helps one to try and do better still. I had no idea that a really grown-up lady with a “Sweetheart” would take any interest in my endeavours. 1 think she must be as sweet as I pictured her; perhaps that is why she chose such a sweet pen-name. I’m afraid I’m as 1 wild as my nom-de-plume, lor 1 live amongst nature in its natural setting; wild bush, wild towering hills ending somewhere in the vast dome of the sky above. This is all for to-day, but next week I intend to describe a wonderful picnic to you. Once again off I go, sending you my love.—From “WIND,” Letterland. I am sure our “Laughing Waterlady” will see your little note of thanks, dear. I am ever so pleased to know that we are to have further contributions from your pen.—Wendy.
