WEDDING
DERRETT—ADAMSON At All Saints’ Church, Palmerston North, recently, the wedding was quietly celebrated of Merle Vivian, eldest dr ughter of Mrs C. Drew, Palmerston North, and formerly of Hawera, and John, only son of Mr and Mrs C. Derrett, Patea. Rev. Canon Woodward performed the ceremony. The bride wore a cream woollen woven two-piece suit, with cream silk felt hat, pink dahlias, and gladioli forming her bouquet. Little Ann Gibson, formerly of Hawera, handed the bride a lucky silver floral horseshoe at the church steps. At the reception tea held at her home, Mrs Drew received her guests in a dark brown ensemble with toning hat, and she carried a bouquet of bronzed lilies arranged with autumn foliage. Mrs Derrett chose a smart claretcoloured suit with hat to tone.
The bride's grandparents, Mr and Mrs C. W. Greenside, of Dannevirke, were present at the ceremony.
Mr and Mrs J. Derrett are residing at Whenuakura, Patea.
