THOSE POLICE TRANSFERS
PRESS REPORTS WERE WRONG. STATEMENT BY POLICE ASSOCIATION. [ Per PreM Association 1 WELLINGTON, March 18. A statement that the recent articles in the Press alleging victimisation of members of the New Zealand Police Association in the matter of transfers were entirely without foundation, was issued by the Management Committe of the association to-night. It was stated that the Management Committee had received no complaint from any member transferred, and it dissociated itself altogether from the view's expressed in the articles on the subject. It concluded with the sentiments expressed in the recent statement issued by.the Minister in Charge of the Police Department (the Hon. P. Fraser) and had every confidence that its interests would receive just consideration.
