MEN IN DEFIANT MOOD TROUBLE IN N.S. WALES NEARLY 50 FOUNDRIES CLOSED (By Telesranh—Presa Association—Copy right) Received March 18, 10.40 p.m. SYDNEY, March 18. Almost fifty foundries are already Idle as the result of the dispute of 2600 moulders and ironworkers. It is expected that 3500, including men ot kindred trades, will be thrown out of work by the week-end. The unions are demanding the elimination of overtime and recently resorted to irritating strikes, leading to the closing of the foundries. The men are now in a defiant mood and, in addition, are demanding a forty-hour week before they will resume.
