Two journalists employed by the Beaverbook Press will publish on Thursday a book entitled “His Was the Kingdom,” in which they allege that King Edward VIII was “forced off the throne by an alliance of press, Parliament, and pulpit.” THE DUKE’S INCOME REPORTED PLANS THEREFOR OBLIGATIONS UPON MRS. SIMPSON NO DIARY; NO FILM APPEARANCES LONDON, March 4. Details of a plan by which the Duke of Windsor would be assurred or an income are published in the magazine Cavalcade. It is said to have been brought from Vienna by Sir Walter Monckton, K.C., former Attorney-General of the Duchy of Cornwall, and put by him before the Treasury. The plan, which will be submitted to the King, is said to provide for a capital sum of £125,000, and an annuity of £20,000. The larger amount would be raised by subscriptions from members of the Royal Family. Part of this grant is understood to be earmarked for Mrs. Simpson, who would undertake never to publish a diary, appear in the films, or in any other manner capitalise her associa-i tion with the Duke of Windsor.
