GENERAL NEWS The monthly meeting of the Bulls Town Board will be held this evening. Geflson’s Aces have been engaged for the Parewanui School dance, which will be held in Bulls Town Hall this evening, and a free bus will run from Marton. A large attendance rs anticipated, for there have not been many public dances here recently. A locally-trained horse, Spencrer, will be amongst the' runners at the Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting, and if he runs up to track form he should be in the money. Preparations for the Bulls-Ohakea annual sports meeting on Saturday are now well in hand. The grounds
are in fine order, and good entries have been received in running and cycling events. Numerous novelty events complete an attractive programme. Bulls Bowling Club has been invited to supply one rink to play for Manawatu Centre against Wanganui on Wednesday next. The match will be played on St. John’s greens Several members of the Rangitikei Polo Club left this week for Hawke’s Bay to take part in the annual polo tournament there.
