HIGH WATER AT WANGANUI. (Hew Zealand Summer Time.) To-day. o*2o a.m. and 9.47 p.m. To-morrow. 10 a.m. and 10.26 p.m. Saturday. 10.43 a.m. and 11.8 p.m. PORT OF WANGANUI VESSELS DETAINED. Owing to stress of weather, two coastal vessels were detained at the Town Wharf last night. They were the motor-ships Gale and Foxton, and will sail for Wellington and Lyttelton respectively when conditions improve. The only arrival yesterday w r as the t.s.m.v. Alexander, 377 tons. Captain S. P. Martin, at 5.55 p.m. from Port Hardy. The vessel discharged sheep at the Heads, but w’as unable to sail owing to the weather. From Wanganui she will proceed to Tarakohe to load a further cargo of sheep. A departure yesterday was the m.v. Kapiti, 249 tons, Captain V. Johansen. at 6.50 a.m., for Wellington. No word was received last night concerning the freighter Mamari’s departure from Wellington, and it is now presumed that the vessel will arrive in the roadstead to-morrow, not to-day, as mentioned elsewhere. The Patea motor-ships Inaha and Hawera were still at the Castlecliff Wharf yesterday awaiting a favourable opportunity to enter Patea. They are en route from Wellington. In Port Last Night.
