WELLINGTON SCHEME BEAD* 15,000 CHILDREN TO BENEFIT. 1 Per Prem AKOciatlon. ] WELLINGTON, March 9. Nearly one thousand gallons of milk will be delivered daily to upward of 15,000 children attending Wellington schools when a free distribution scheme, to operate on a national basis, takes effect at the end of th< month. Already children at some kindergartens are receiving half-pint bottle! from the City Corporation's depot, but a fortnight will elapse before it is possible to distribute to schools generally. The supply is ready but delivery is held up temporarily pending the provision of suitable "boxes at schools where the bottles can be left by the milk department until claimed when the pupils assemble in the morning.
