RICCARTON HORSES

PAPER SLIPPER DOUBTFUL CHRISTCHURCH, March 8. Most Riccarton trainers with horses engaged at Trentham will go north to-morrow night. Some changes have been made in the arrangements. After her failure at Motukarara on Saturday the two-year-old Mulatto will not travel north. Paper Slipper is also doubtful, as he has burst a foot, and a final decision will not be made till after the colt works to-mor-row. Davolo is another who will miss the trip, as he has contracted a severe cold and it is not certain whether he will be able to race even at Easter. Though he is not engaged on the first day, Tunneller will be sent to Trentham for the Autumn Handicap on Saturday.
