intoxicated motorist Hector Kelvin O’Halloran, a halfcaste Maori, was arrested at 10 a.m. ; in Bridge Street, by Constable Ede and later in the day appeared before Messrs L. M. Taverner and F. A. Holland, J.P.’s, and pleaded guilty to being intoxicated while in charge of a car. A fine of £2O, and costs, was I inflicted, this being O’Halloran’s .first : offence.
