APPOINTMENT OF LECTURER AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS I Per Pres* Association. ] PALMERSTON N., Feb. 12. The Massey College Council ?*ave confirmed the appointment of Mr H. B. Low, M.A., as lecturer on agricultural economics, vice Mr D. O. Williams, who is now Government Director of the Bank of New Zealand. Mr Low was dux of the Timaru Boys’ High School in 1927, entered the Canterbury University College in 1928 as holder of the University National Scholarship. He won the John Connal Scholarship in 1929, and in 1930 was awarded the Senior Scholarship in Economics for the student securing the highest marks for third year work in four New Zealand colleges. He completed a brilliant career by ob; taining his M.A. degree with firstclass honours in economics in 1933. He has acted as lecturer in economics at the Canterbury College. For the past three years Mr Low has been on the staff of the Nanking University in China, engaged partly in research v ork in agricultural economic.
