ROWING
WANGANUI ASSOCIATION EIGHT-OAR TRIAL RACES CREWS FOR SATURDAY Two eight-oared trials are to be rowed on Saturday in order that the Wanganui Rowing Association’s representative crew may be selected for the interprovincial eight-oared championship, to be rowed on Easter Sauurday. Th? first event on Saturday, io start at 6 p.m., will be rowed from opposite the Duchess Theatre to a finishing point opposite the Brewery Corner at Bates Street. The second row will be in the opposite direction, from the Bates Street corner to opposite the Duchess Theatre. In the first event the Union Boat Club representatives will be boated as a complete eight, and any alterations by the selectors for the second event will be made at the Union shed. The following have bc?n seM?clea as the crews for the first trial:— Gould, Benge, Halkett, Jackson, Delves, Tc_nks, Granville, Luxford: Stoddart (cox). Stowers, Coxon, Edwards, Firmin, Laird, Staton, Holmes, Jones; La Hogue (cox).
