High winds handicapped workers on the levees along the Mississippi. The flood in Southern California is receding. Two deaths have been recorded. Although danger has ended, a cinema company is still marooned at Kernville. The Red Cross announces that contributions have reached a total of 17,667,00 dollars. Three bodies recovered from the buildings ruined by explosions of gas have raised the deaths due to the explosions to ten. The search is continuing as several people are still missing.
