WEATHER FORECAST
Meteorological Office, Wellington, Monday, February 8, 4 p.m. General Situation—A depression of rather slight intensity is now passing but a deeper one is located over the western Tasman. Forecast. —Winds: Light to moderate south-west to southerly but a change to freshening northerlies setting in to-morrow south of New Plymouth and Napier. Seas (New Zealand waters): Slight to moderate generally at first, later rising in Cook and Foveaux Straits. Eastern Tas man Sea: Winds tending northerly, and freshening; seas, slight to moderate, but rising in the southern portion. Weather: Changeable but mainly cloudy to overcast at first, with scattered rains, principally in eastern districts; improving shortly in most places; rain developing later in the western and southern portions of the South Island; temperatures, cool but rising to-morrow. Time of sunset: To-day, 7.33 p.m. Time of sunrise: To-morrow, 5.38 a.m.
