RECORD SURPLUS
BRITISH POST OFFICE CHEAPER TELEGRAMS BRING MORE BUSINESS LONDON, Feb. 5. The Post Office accounts for the year ended March 31, 1936, reveal a record surplus of £12,539,000. The introduction of sixpenny telegrams resulted in a marked increase in business, but insufficient to cover cost.
