COUNTERFEIT BANK NOTES

TWO MORE CASHED [ Per Pre* Abboc.wtion ) AUCKLAND, Dec. 28. Two more counterfeit bank notes were handed to the Detective Oflice this morning. One was cashed on Christmas Eve by a city firm of motor tyre dealers and the other in a city restaurant on Saturday. This makes 1G cashed. Detectives have been active over the week-end but no arrests have been made. At the Ellerslie races on Saturday and the Epsom trots to-day special care was exercised in examining all £5 notes tendered at the totalisators.
