CHLORINATION PROCESS UNSHRINKABLE WOOL Received Dec. 14, 7.50 p.m LONDON, Dec. 14. The Wool Industries’ Research Association’s report announces that the chlorination process, producing unshrinkable wool, has reached a stage at which commercialisation is possible. Additional improvements are expected following the recent investigation into bleaching with sulphite solutions preventing yellowing after washing. The report adds: “Much attention has been given to the scientific measurement of the characteristics of wool fibre which is the basis of the scientific study of wool between workers of different countries, and may establish a very fruitful contact between manufacturer and pastoralist enabling the wool grower to supply the manufacturers’ wants/’
